Secretive Sarissa
Sarissa was quietly delivered in 2023. The 59.7m / 196ft high-performance sloop represents the next chapter in the owners’ love of sailing and passion for family adventures and exploration. In 2012 they started dreaming about today’s Sarissa which has become 17m / 55ft longer than their previous yacht. Some of the exciting - and so far undisclosed - exterior design and onboard innovations have been unveiled.

A view from the UK. If it's not the most boring, plain unimaginative design ever, then it's up there with the other contenders. This is a 'Marmite' boat - you either love it or hate it. For me it is soulless, lacking a personality. It's a good example of the King and his clothes. No one is prepared to say they don't like it because it's Huisman AND NOBODY criticises Huisman. I will, it's dreadful but if the idiot that commissioned it likes it, then job done is suppose. Someone's gonna ask me why so here are 2. There are absolutely no amenities on the deck and there is no wind or spray protection either. I hope it doesn't rain on those having their evening meal on deck.
Crew brings out shade as needed. What is your example of great design - or do you only criticize?

A view from the UK. Can anyone help me here? Just exactly was this yacht designed to do? As far as i can discern by the layout of the deck, that all you would use it for is weekend offshore racing. I really cannot see it being used to sail the oceans. Nothing wrong in that of course, but i think if you get up to these keel lengths they should be comfortable to cruise.
It is designed to increase both the apparent waterline length and girth of owners endowment by a factor of approximately 9x10²⁴

Everything is possible in Super Yachting. Some need lots of toys with being carried by a supply vessel (mostly on its own a super yacht), others like to explore arctic regions and let built a very robust ice breaking hull, while others need their million expensive investment for representative purpose as a kind of "VIP island". You never know what the intentions behind had been the conception of Sarissa for the owner. And the shipyard would be foolish to say "no" to the ideas of the owner, who mostly has his own consulting team / project manager ... and naval architect. What we see in this video by sure is "high tech" top notch and excellent boat building. The decks functionality of course might be doubtful. :-)

It’s about utilizing individuals that have decades of experience building the exact type of sports fisherman., Bertram, Hatteras, Viking, egg Harbor,… no need to worry. The US Navy will back your country up in case of invasion, those ships are and will be Americanized…. for you and the world’s protection.💪🏼🔥🇺🇸🫡
